The Department of English Language at NYC in Athens is currently inviting applications for teaching the master-level course:
The Use of ICT in Language Learning
The aim of the course is:
1. Different approaches to the implementation of independent language learning and autonomy in relation with ICT.
2. Various types of currently used commercial CALL software applications and to provide students with an understanding of their role in language learning.
3. Issues in evaluation and use of CALL software for language learning purposes.
4. Development and adaptation of computer-based activities for language learners through the use of authoring programs.
5.Theoretical and practical issues related to setting up and managing self-access language resource centres, including developments for teachers and learners within this learning environment, including the role of the language adviser.
Suitable candidates must
- have an MSc or preferably a PhD in a related field recognised in Greece (by DOATAP)
- have teaching experience in this particular area
