Panagiotatos, Dimitris holds a Bachelor Degree in Cinematic and Audiovisual Studies and Master Degree in Cinematic and Audiovisual Studies from the University of Paris 8. Mr. Panagiotatos has produced and directed eleven feature films, while he has been the author of Author of the Books: Eroticism in Films; Fantastic Cinema; Fantastic Literature; Lovers Beyond Time (Later made into film); and the Editor of the series Camera Obscura (Books based on Famous Movies). He has a long teaching experience in Film Studies, and since 2001 has been the Academic Director of the New York College Department of Film & TV Studies.
Electra Venaki holds an M.A in Cinema, Audiovisual, Television and an B.A in Cinema Studies from University Paris I Panthéon – Sorbonne. (1990)
Elektra Venaki has 20 years of experience in film and digital video editing in Greece. Among her collaborations, there are many awarded films in Thessaloniki International Festival, especially the Documentary Section and she has been awarded for editing in Drama Short Film Festival twice. She has worked as a director for a National Geographic Greece documentary, entitled Smyrna-History's Greatest Trek, based on the famous article by Melville Chater in NG, 1925. As passionated with film sound theory and practice, she has participated in numerous conferences about cinema sound, exploring technical and aesthetic issues.
She teaches Editing and Sound Design.
Evgenia Lirudia has a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and History from Deree American College of Greece and a Diploma in Film Studies from the Stavrakos School in Athens. In 1982 she moved to London, where she graduated from The London College of Printing. She got her MA degree in Narrative Analysis for Moving Image and taught scriptwriting techniques in the London Scriptwriting Workshop. From 1988 until today she collaborates as development Advisor with the Media Program of the E.U. ( MEDIA Plus ) and teaches story telling techniques in various European Workshops. From 1991 to 1996 she was head of development in the Greek Film Centre. In 1997 she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and was in the New York University in the Department of the Digital Image within CADA ( Centre of Advanced Digital Animation ).In 1999 she founded TOWN FILM, a production and development company in Greece, which was the collaborative company of the ARISTA STORY EDITORS WORKSHOP organized in Greece in 1998 and 1999. She has worked as script editor in various films in Greece and Europe.
Mavropsaridis, George studied The Art and Technique of Film in the London International Film School at that time directed by John Fletcher. Graduated in 1978. Since 1982 works as a freelance film editor in the field of TV commercials – where he has been awarded numerous times in his career- and in 35 feature films – amongst them” The Enchantress” (best editor award in the 1986 Thessaloniki Film Festival and the State award for the same film, “Love me not”, official competition in the 1989 Venice Film Festival, Politiki Kouzina ( best editor award and State award in 2004), Kinneta (official competition in the 2005 Toronto Film Festival) He continues working in the same fields and since 2000 teaches editing at the New York College.
Efthimios Hatzis is a graduate of the Film Department of New York University where he has earned a Master of Arts Degree in Film and Television Production. He graduated with honors -“Excellence in Film Directing". He has directed various video and television productions here in Greece and has worked with studios in the USA such as Warner Brother, Paramount Pictures PBS. His filmography includes feature films, short films, documentaries, and animated film. He has been awarded for his feature film ‘ΡΟΔΙΝΑΑΚΡΟΓΙΑΛΙΑ’ , his short films ‘ΤΡΙΑΔΑ’ and ‘ADTR’.His film ‘Relics’ won several awards –for directing, acting, photography, and BestFilm. Since 2001 Mr. Hatzis has been an instructor at New York College. He has been teaching the courses ‘Directing on a Filmset’-giving students practical experience in directing. He has also been teaching the course ‘Cinematography: Visualization and Exposure’-working with students on their final individual film project guiding them to produce work to present at festival competitions.
Dimitra Hatoupi graduated from the University of Athens, with a degree in English Literature. She studied acting in the schools of Art Theatre - Carolos Coun and P. Katselis and took additional classes in ballet and singing. She has a renowned career as a theatre, TV and film actress, and has won several prizes including the M. Kotopouly Prize for her performance in the “Quartet” by Henry Miller, directed by G. Michaelidis; the National Award for Leading Female Actress, in “The Other Side”, by T. Psarras; National Award for Leading Female Actress in “Life on Sale”, by F. Siskopoulou; and National Award for Supporting Female Actress, in “Such a Long Absence”, by S. Tsiolis. She has a long teaching experience in the national theatre school, and since 2003 she teaches Directing Actors – Actor’s Point of View, at New York College.
Voula Georgakakou studied Economics and Business at the School of Economics and Business of the Athens University School of Law. She has a career as an Economist in the cinema industry. She has served as the national representative and member of the advisory committee of the European Film Distribution Office (EFDO); nnational representative of the European Film Academy’s European Film Awards (Felix); and founding member and Greek representative in the European Union’s EUROPEAN FILM PROMOTION (E.F.P.). Voula Georgakakou has conducted classes as an expert on film distribution and promotion at many university seminars in Greece and other European countries. Presently she teaches Film Production, Distribution and Promotion at the Film and Television Department of New York College in Athens.
Antonis Kokkinos holds a bachelor’s degree from the National Technical University of Athens, in Engineering, and a Diploma in Film Direction from the L. Stavrakos Film Studies School. He has directed a number of feature films, including the “ End of an Era ” ( 96’) which won eight awards from the Festival of Thessalonica including the award for the best film. The same film participated in more than thirty festivals ( Berlin, Karlovi, Vari, Chicago etc.) with very much success. Antonis Kokkinos teaches Fundamentals of Direction, and Contemporary Films and Filmmakers at New York College.
