Seminar on “Playing with the Big Boys: An Entrepreneurial Success Story” by New York College Thessaloniki

Tue, 11/21/2017 - 12:16

On Wednesday 15th of November 2017, New York College - Thessaloniki Campus organized a seminar entitled  Playing with the Big Boys: An Entrepreneurial Success Story” which took place at its premises in Thessaloniki.

The event’s main speaker was Mr. Constantine Bellis, Official LEGO® Distributor in Greece.

As Mr. Bellis explained, the LEGO Group is a privately held company based in Billund, Denmark. The company is still owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family who founded it in 1932. It is the LEGO® philosophy that ‘good quality play’ enriches a child’s life – and lays the foundation for later adult life. We believe that play is a key element in children’s growth and development and stimulates the imagination and the emergence of ideas and creative expression. All LEGO products are based on this underlying philosophy of learning and development through play. Today, the Danish family business employs 12,000 employees, surpassing Mattel for the first time (2014), winning the world top in revenue and profits.

A very interesting and long dialogue took place after the seminar since the interest in the subject was high.
