Mission:
The mission of the  Tourism Studies Section at New York College is to offer outstanding quality and challenging tourism education, in cooperation with the accredited Suisse University I.U.K.B (Institut Universitaire Kurt Bosch ), and the University of Greenwich, UK, with the aim to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills for making a significant contribution to the newly shaped tourism-business environment . The Tourism Studies Section unique characteristic is the mix of international students from all around the world, who offer to the class members a diverse and multi-level multi-national experience
 
Objectives:
The Department of Tourism places emphasis on the following objectives:
  • To develop the students’ skills in order to increase employment opportunities.
  • To excel in teaching by employing professors who possess the necessary academic background but also long-standing international experience in managing high-quality tourism business.
  • To increase students' awareness of the environmental, socio-cultural, moral, ethical and political issues of the newly formed tourism and recreational organizations.
  • To develop students’ skills in order to enhance employability.
  • To provide new opportunities for working professionals in tourism enterprises and international industries.
