A group of students from New York College Athens enjoyed a VIP tour of the state-of-the-art facilities at the partner University of Greater Manchester in England.

The students were accompanied by Dr. Antonia Svensson, Vice Principal and Academic Head of the Psychology Department, and Mr. Ioannis Stavroulakis, Professor at New York College, in a unique academic experience that highlighted the power of international collaboration. Participating students from the departments of Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality, Computer Science, Psychology, and Sports Science had the opportunity to experience firsthand the high educational standards and pioneering practices of the University of Greater Manchester, enhancing the international dimension of their studies.

During their visit, they were guided through the National Centre for Motorsport Engineering, the on-campus Moot Courts, the Greater Manchester Business School, the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, and the new £40 million Institute of Medical Sciences, which houses the University's Medical School.

This educational visit takes place annually, allowing students to meet in person with the heads and academics of their respective fields. The partnership between New York College and the University of Greater Manchester enables students to study in Greece while earning an internationally recognized degree, professionally equivalent to those awarded by Greek public universities.

Ioanna Kagiouli, a second-year student in the BSc (Hons) Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling program, shared her excitement about the visit, emphasizing the value of direct contact with the partner university:

"I am delighted to have met the academic team of the Psychology Department and to have witnessed a live demonstration of the research equipment used to study emotion and cognition. I consider myself very fortunate to be studying at this university as an 'Off-Campus' student through New York College."
