Νew York College 2018 Graduation Ceremony with the presence of distinguished guests

New York College Graduation Ceremony of 2018 took place on Monday July 2nd, in a magnificent venue set against the backdrop of the Acropolis and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Distinguished guests from academia, business and politics honored graduating students and families with their presence.

It was a night full of emotion, excitement, joy and hope for the graduates, as they are now equipped with all the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully face life’s challenges. New York College offers its graduates the unique opportunity to acquire the authentic American or European Bachelor, Master and PhD by studying in Greece. Thus, ensuring success in the job market.

 

 

Graduates were addressed with congratulatory remarks by HM Ambassador to Greece, Ms Kate Smith, who praised graduates’ impressive accomplishments, Dr. David Bejou, Provost of the State University-Empire State College, Prof. George E. Holmes, Vice Chancellor of the University of Bolton, Madame Isabelle Sole, Manager of the BA Business – Marketing Program of Université Toulouse, Dr. Stuart Ashenden, Faculty Operating Officer of the University of Greenwich, and Dr. Alec CoutroubisHead of Department, Department of Applied Engineering and Management.

 

Dignitaries from the NYC Partner Universities​, University of Greenwich, University of Bolton, State University of New York – Empire State College, and Universite Toulouse.

The graduates also were congratulated by by distinguished politicians, including Mr. Panagiotis Kouroumplis, Minister of Maritime Affairs, Mr. Athanasios Plevris, Councillor of Athens City, Ms. Eva Anderova, Vice President for Public Affairs at the University of New York in Prague-member institution of the NYC Educational Group- and  f.Deputy Minister of Finance in the Czech Republic and partner of New York College Educational Group, based in University of New York in Prague (UNYP).

Of particular significance was Captain’s Panagiotis Tsakos, Founder of the Tsakos Group, heartfelt words to graduating students. Mr. Evangelos Spanos, President and CEO of BIOIATRIKI, also honored the graduates with his presence.

A moment of high emotion was when Earl of St. Andrews, Chancellor of the University of Bolton delivered an inspiring Keynote Speech wholly in the Greek language which he happens to speak from his Greek grandmother.. During the Ceremony, Sir Graham Brady, Member of the British Parliament and President of the ‘1922 Committee’ was awarded an Honorary PhD (Doctorate of Social Sciences) by Earl of St. Andrews, Chancellor of the University of Bolton.

The Founder and President of New York College Educational Group, Mr. Elias Foutsis, noted that the Graduation is not the end but the beginning of a beautiful life that lies ahead. He stated: Graduates, I urge you to remember that learning is like rowing upstream: not to advance is to drop back. Therefore, keep learning, this is my advice to you, especially in these challenging times that we live, where everything changes with tremendous speed ”.
