Dr. Elena Kagiafa
Elena has received a BA (Hons) double major with distinction in Communication and Media and Cultural Studies with Writing and Publishing from Middlesex University in London, UK. Her passion for Philosophy led her then to Universite Paris VIII in Paris, France to do a BA in Philosophy. Elena also holds an MA (Hons) in International Relations and European Studies from the University of Kent, LCIR, London Centre of International Relations, in the UK and won a scholarship from "A.S.Onassis Public Benefit Foundation for her Ph.D. studies in International Relations with European Environmental Law in the UK. This year, she completed her MBA degree (Executive MBA), at the University of Bolton in the UK with a scholarship from NYC. Elena who grew up in Saudi Arabia and England, has worked as a journalist, broadcasting the news for ANT-1 TV in Athens and forthe BBC World Service Radio in London. Other past employment includes, working for Sotheby's and Harrods in London, UK. At present, she is a course leader and teaches Communication at New York College in Athens. Her main academic interests lay with Philosophy, Existential Philosophy, Ethics, Philosophy of Emotions and Theories of Emotions.
