Dr. Maria Anastasiou

Dr. Maria Anastasiou after completed her studies on History at the Ionian University Greece, she continued her studies in the U.K and she received an MA in International Relations and Strategic Studies by the University of Lancaster and a PhD in International Relations and European Studies by the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece. Her expertise is Democratization in the Middle East and the Politics of Authoritarian Regimes in the MENA region. Her academic interests lay in Theories and Methodology of International Relations, Middle East Studies, U.S Foreign Policy, Modern and Contemporary European History, European Studies and Political Philosophy. At New York College she has been teaching International Relations, U.S History, Survey of World History, World Politics and Ethnic Conflict.
