Vicky Hassandra

Vicky studied French and Greek Literature at the University of Athens, translation at the CTL (Centre de la Traduction Litteraire) de l’ Institut Francais d’ Athenes. She has translated a great number of novels from French to Greek, most of them classified as famous classic French literature, for well-known Greek publishers, such as: Lettres de Madame de Sevigne, Anatoles Frances’s: Histoire Comique, Alfred de Musset’s short stories, Paula Jacques’s: La Descente au Paradis, etc. From 1998 she writes as a professional scriptwriter, for cinema and Greek TV. She is member of Scriptwriters’ Guild of Greece since 2003, she served also as a member of the Board (2007). Her first novel “Aorates Fones” was voted among the ten best novels of the year (Public 2015) and her second novel “Ammos sto vitho” was also shortlisted in the above competition. She teaches Screenwriting at New York College.
