Dimitris Panagiotatos, Director of the Film Studies Department
M.A. in Cinema & Audiovisual Studies, Université Paris 8
Acclaimed director, producer, and author with over 30 years of teaching experience. He has directed seven feature films, numerous television series, and is a founding member of the Hellenic Film Academy. His films have earned multiple accolades, including the Greek State Award for Best Director.
Tassos Boulmetis, Producer, Screenwriter, and Director
Visiting Professor at UCLA
An accomplished filmmaker who studied Film Directing and Production at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) on an Onassis Foundation scholarship. A former UCLA teaching assistant, he is a highly experienced director, producer, and instructor of advanced master classes in applied directing.
Vicky Hasandra, Author and Screenwriter
A professional screenwriter since 1998, with an extensive portfolio in feature films and television series. In addition to being an acclaimed, award-nominated novelist and literary translator, she is a founding member of the Hellenic Film Academy and has served on the board of the Screenwriters Guild of Greece.
Katerina Maragoudaki, Director of Photography (Cinematographer)
An award-winning cinematographer who has shot numerous feature films, short films, documentaries, and commercials. Beyond the screen, she has designed the lighting for over 300 theatrical productions and the Closing Ceremony of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. She is a proud member of the Greek Society of Cinematographers (GSC).
Dimitris Polydoropoulos, Filmmaker, Editor, Cinematographer & Sound Designer
A versatile audiovisual professional with over 23 years of industry experience. He has contributed his editing and sound design expertise to major, multi-award-winning feature films, including Pantelis Voulgaris’ Little England and The Last Note , as well as Phedon Papamichael’s Light Falls. His recent project, 7 Summits (2025)—which he directed, shot, and sound designed—was awarded Best Edit at the Greek Documentary Festival.
Dr. Eleni Tragea, Art Historian
PhD in Film Theory
An academic and art historian holding a PhD in Film Theory from Panteion University. Her extensive professional background spans archaeological excavations, film editing, and the curation of cultural exhibitions, with a special research focus on classic analogue photography and its alternative historic practices.

For Level 3- Year 0:You should have an Apolytirion (Greek Leaving Certificate) minimum score of 10. If English is not your first language, you will also need IELTS 5.0 (or equivalent)
For Level 4- Year 1:High School Leaving Certificate (Apolytirion Lyceum or an equivalent)with a minimum grade of 15+,English language requirement: IELTS 5.5 or an equivalent qualification at B2 level from another recognised examination body
