The School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences offers studies with an emphasis on the multicultural and interdisciplinary nature of individual departments. What characterizes NYC graduates is their ability to pursue a career in a multitude of different positions with developed communication and analytical thinking skills.
Our teaching methodology strongly emphasizes a multicultural and interdisciplinary approach, seamlessly merging rigorous theoretical education with real-world application. In the English Language Teaching track, students gain substantial hands-on experience through practical classroom training. Within Film Studies, our curriculum nurtures critical thinking alongside advanced technical skills; as a result, dozens of student films from the NYC Film Studies Department are showcased and awarded annually at prestigious international festivals across Greece, the UK, and the USA.
The Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees are awarded directly by our partner state universities for programs completed entirely in Greece. In accordance with current legislative provisions, these degrees are officially recognized by the Independent Department for the Implementation of European Legislation (ATEEN) of the Greek Ministry of Education (www.minedu.gr) as professionally equivalent to degrees awarded by Greek state universities.
Highly sought-after, prestigious specializations within this field include English Language Teaching (ELT), International Relations, and Film / Cinematic Studies.
Graduates of this school are uniquely prepared to build distinguished global careers. Depending on their chosen pathway, they secure successful roles as specialized English educators and academic consultants in top-tier educational institutions, as diplomatic analysts and executives in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and international bodies, or as innovative directors, creators, and production specialists within the contemporary domestic and global film industry.
