Aggidou Tania

Tania Aggidou, driven by a strong interest in human health and life sciences, studied Biochemistry in the Department of Health and Life Sciences at King’s College London, with her undergraduate thesis focusing on modified DNA. She continued her studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in the Department of Biology, Division of Applied Genetics and Biotechnology. Her master’s thesis was conducted in the Department of Biochemistry/Medicine at AUTH on the genetic background of non-small cell lung cancer. During and following her postgraduate studies, she participated in research programs at the same department examining lung and cervical cancer, contributing to publications in scientific journals. Alongside her research, she served as Head of the Biochemistry Department of the Central Laboratories at the private hospital “Interbalkan European Medical Center of Thessaloniki” for eight years. Subsequently, her focus shifted strongly toward education. Since 2013, she teaches Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry to candidate students for foreign universities, and since 2022 collaborates with New York College Thessaloniki as a lecturer in Health Sciences courses covering biochemistry, hematology, and related fields.
