Kalonomos Giorgos
Giorgos Kalonomos earned his first BSc in Computer Engineering from the TEI of Central Greece. After 2 years working as a mobile software engineer, he decided to change career paths. Thus, he earned a BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Greenwich as a First-Class student. His passion for sports led him to postgraduate studies, earning an MSc in Applied Sport Nutrition from Oxford Brookes University with distinction, becoming a registered sports nutritionist in the UK (SENr). The research he conducted titled “Biochemical Changes in Professional Football Players During a Competitive Season” is pending publication. His drive for self-improvement in both nutrition and exercise led him to earn certification as a personal trainer under Menno Henselmans, becoming the only Greek holding this certification. Subsequently, he obtained ISAK Level 1 anthropometrist certification, enabling accurate measurements in athletes and exercisers. To deepen his knowledge in muscle hypertrophy, he completed the J3U certification, specializing in physique transformation optimization. Additionally, he holds a sports coaching certification from UPGRADE. In October 2024, he will officially commence his PhD at the University of Bolton in exercise science. He is a scientific associate and senior nutrition coach across 2 dietetic offices. He maintains a private clientele specializing in athletes and fitness enthusiasts. He possesses extensive experience across diverse clinical cases, having worked for 2 years at Henry Dunant Hospital Center in the nephrology department. His ambition is to further deepen his knowledge and impart evidence-based nutrition to the next generation to eliminate misinformation in health.
