Roidos Paris
Dr. Paris Roidos is a Molecular Biologist – Geneticist, Founder, and Scientific Director of DNA Therapeutics. He studied Biology at the University of Ioannina, earned an MSc in Biotechnology with a specialization in Genetic Engineering from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and completed his doctoral dissertation in Cancer Genetics at Heidelberg University with magna cum laude honors. He possesses multi-year research experience in prestigious international scientific institutions, including the Karolinska Institute, the University of Manchester, and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), focusing primarily on human genetics, cancer genetics, and bridging basic molecular research with clinical and applied fields. At DNA Therapeutics, he develops and implements genetic and molecular services covering molecular diagnostics, pharmacogenomics, polygenic risk scoring, and personalized health. He combines research experience, laboratory expertise, and digital tools to translate genetic information into practical precision medicine applications. He plays an active role in education and academic teaching, and since 2023 collaborates with New York College as a Module Leader at the Thessaloniki campus, teaching Health Sciences courses emphasizing molecular biology, genetics, clinical application, and modern translational medicine.
