Adamaki Maria
Dr. Maria Adamaki is a biomedical scientist and educator with a strong background in molecular biology and oncology. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology from the University of Hertfordshire (2000), a Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London (2001), and a Doctorate (PhD) in Molecular Oncology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2016). Her experience spans both research and academia, including key positions such as at the Hematology/Oncology Unit of the University of Athens (2009–2015), where she contributed to the identification of prognostic gene markers in pediatric leukemias, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Hellenic Research Foundation (2018–2023), focusing on cancer biomarkers and immunological approaches to therapy. Dr. Adamaki has also taught in a postgraduate oncology program, supervised doctoral dissertations, and trained undergraduate students in laboratory techniques in molecular biology. Her expertise covers cancer biology, immunotherapy, and molecular diagnostics, with a special interest in pediatric leukemias and cancer biomarkers. Currently, she is a Lecturer and Academic Advisor at New York College in Athens, where she teaches biomedical sciences and supervises senior thesis projects. In addition to her teaching, she has delivered invited talks at national and international conferences on precision oncology and cancer immunotherapy. Dr. Adamaki’s academic and research pursuits are driven by her commitment to translational medicine, particularly early detection and personalized cancer treatment through molecular diagnostics.
