Govas Ioannis
Ioannis Govas is a prominent figure in the field of sports and coaching, with multi-year and multifaceted involvement. From 2010 to the present, he has served as President of the Hellenic Association of Private Gyms, while during the period 2017–2020 he served as President of the Panhellenic Taekwondo Coaches Association. Additionally, he was an active member of the Panhellenic Coaches Federation of All Sports (TOPA) until 2020. He is the founder and owner of the Taekwondo Clubs “Jaguar” from 1986 to the present and has been recognized as an internationally certified examiner by the World Taekwondo Federation. He has also served as an instructor at the Taekwondo coaching schools of the General Secretariat of Sports. In the context of military training, he served as a Martial Arts Instructor in the Hellenic Navy Special Forces (Underwater Demolition Team – OYK) during 1995–2004. Concurrently, he taught Taekwondo at the College of Sports Sciences (2007–2008) and at City College (2013–2015). He is co-founder of the Institute for the Promotion of Physical Activity in Greece (Institute of gr.active.wellness), as well as the innovative fitness program frogmanfit.gr, which is based on special forces training protocols.
