Nikolaos Kantouris, exercise physiologist, is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In the final year of his undergraduate studies, he completed a specialization in basketball, earning his coaching certification. During his studies, he relocated to Potsdam, Germany, via the Erasmus+ program. Subsequently, he worked at the Institute of Cardiology and Sports Medicine, Department of Molecular and Cellular Sports Medicine, of the German Sport University Cologne, under the supervision of Dr. Bloch. He earned his title as an Exercise Physiologist from the Department of Exercise Science at Liverpool John Moores University (MSc) in England, and is currently a PhD Candidate at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the School of Physical Education and Sport Science. In the past, he has worked as a head coach and strength & conditioning coach for basketball teams. During the 2020–2021 season, as part of his master’s internship, he worked at PAOK F.C. Since 2021, he works at the SportsClinic performance center, under the direction of Dr. Georgios Ziogas. Concurrently, he serves as a scientific associate of the Hellenic Aerospace Medicine and Space Research Society. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Physiological Society, and the Hellenic Society of Biochemistry and Physiology of Exercise. He has participated in international scientific conferences, presenting research studies in Greece (PHED DPTH) and abroad (ACSM, APS USA).
