Martinidis Petros Freiderikos
Petros Freiderikos Martinidis graduated with highest honors (“Arista”) from the School of Physical Education and Sport Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in Track and Field, and holds a Master’s degree with highest honors (“Arista”) in Exercise Physiology and Coaching from Democritus University of Thrace. He is in the process of completing a second Master’s degree in Functional Management of Athletic and Exercise Injuries from the same university. He is a probationary member of the Hellenic Society of Biochemistry and Physiology of Exercise and a member of the Track and Field Coaches Association of Northern Greece. He was an associate at the Human Performance Evaluation Laboratory of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, conducting research on the mechanical analysis of athletic motion. He has oral and poster presentations at scientific conferences to his credit and has attended dozens of exercise science seminars. Under his guidance are athletes of the National Track and Field Teams, focusing primarily on pole vaulting. As a strength & conditioning coach, he has worked with the U12 to U18 basketball teams of PAOK and the women’s volleyball team of Kampaniakos. He was a pole vault athlete with national distinctions and a member of the U18 National Track and Field Teams. He collaborates with New York College since 2024 as a lecturer in Principles of Sports Biomechanics and Track and Field at the Thessaloniki campus.
