Success has a name: Lina Bikou, New York College Graduate

31 August 2016

One more success story was added to those of New York College graduates: Lina Bikou, graduate of the BA program in International Relations of the State University of New York offered by New York College in the city of Thessaloniki, acquired with hard work and conviction what thousands of students dream to achieve.

An inexhaustibly dynamic personality, but also a dreamer with goals, vision and enthusiasm, Lina is focused in the pursuit of excellence.

During her studies at New York College, Lina had the opportunity to broaden her horizons through an incentive and cooperative environment, which strengthened her love for the academic program she chose. Faculty and administrative staff were always there to solve questions, provide her with new ideas, to speculate with her and help her take full advantage of the studies offered by New York College and the State University of New York.

Stunning us with her perseverance, which was accompanied by hard work and constant effort, she completed her studies with honors. But her ambitions do not end there. During her senior year, through comprehensive research and consultations with her professors, academic and career advisors, she realized the many prospects available via the Graduate Academic programs and which in turn could fulfill her ambitions. Her objectives remained high! Applications were sent to some of the best Universities in Europe. Acceptance letters began arriving after a few weeks. After each positive answer, full of joy and excitement, she would come to her Alma Mater with a box of sweets and a smile full of happiness and gratitude! The University of Kent and the University of Warwick were the first to respond positively. A few days later so did the London School of Economics! After rejecting the University of Kent she had to choose between two of the top 15 UK universities. Not an easy task having to choose among the best! The assistance of faculty and academic advisers of New York College was effective and complete, providing invaluable assistance in helping her choose what is best for her.

When her studies commenced, she had not realized the unlimited potential that the degree of the State University of New York had in the global market. She knew that it was the largest state university in the U.S., but having graduated from the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, she did not expect that studying in a private college would be a passport for a brighter future.
