The talk will be in English and is free to attend. Certificates of attendance will be provided. Please confirm your participation by Monday 15th January to svensson@nyc.gr

Participants will have the opportunity to make links between academic research in psychology and an applied safety context. The basic concepts of Aviation Psychology and Human Factors will be introduced and participants will reflect on everyday decision-making and special hazards they will make contact with through scenarios demonstrated via a flight simulator.

Dimitris Chionis, MSc is a Psychologist undertaking research for his PhD in Psychology with the University of Bolton. Dimitris holds a BSc in Psychology from Aristotelion University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Human Factors in Aviation from Coventry University. His main research interests are Aviation Psychology, risk perception, risk communication, and behaviour-based interventions. His PhD research investigates the trends of risk perception and risk communication among aviation professionals.
