Members of the NYC Department of Psychology are participating in the19th Panhellenic Conference of Psychological Research this week at the University of Ioannina (7-11 May 2025)!

NYC faculty member Dr Ntaniella Pylarinou presented her research on “Stalking Myths Acceptance in the Greek population” and NYC Psychology Technician Aliki Kekia, MSc presented her research on “Grief confrontation in bereavement and the possible correlation with personality traits” by Aliki Kekia, Dr Ntaniella R. Pylarinou, Dr Antonia Svensson Dianellou and Dr Georgia Aggelopoulou.

This was Aliki’s first presentation at a conference. In her own words:

“As a recent MSc graduate, I had the invaluable opportunity to attend and present at the 19th National Conference in Psychological Research, where I shared my research on grief confrontation in bereavement and the influence of personality traits—specifically extroversion and introversion—on the grieving process. Engaging with scholars, practitioners, and fellow researchers provided me with fresh perspectives and meaningful feedback. Overall, this experience enriched my understanding on various topics. Attending the conference was a significant milestone in my academic journey, and I am sincerely grateful to my colleagues at New York College for their support and encouragement.”

A proud moment for the team!
