The event was organized by New York College Athens and the University of New York in Prague (UNYP), members of the same Educational Group, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Greece.

Present in the crowded hall were John Mourmuras, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece and Radek Spicar, notable Czech Economist both being the event’s central speakers.

The discussion was moderated by Dr. Christos Diamantopoulos, while the event was welcomed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Greece, Mr. Jan Bondy, and by the Provost of New York College, Professor Dimitris Bourantas.

Mr. John Mourmuras, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece, in his central speech, proceeded to an extensive analysis of the global economic environment, reaching the case of Greece, which he analyzed in a sound and understandable manner, using arguments on the steps that have to be taken in order to pursue and achieve economic growth.

He was followed by notable Economist Mr. Radek Spicar, who spoke about the Czech Republic, using examples and cases, focusing on the human resources and centering his attention on the time needed to implement the changes. Mr. Spicar fascinated the audience with his views, the latter asking for more events to be held with the same lecturer.
