Visit of the Ambassador Fawwaz Al - Eitan of Jordan in Greece at NYC

On November 18, 2016, Ambassador Fawwaz Al - Eitan of Jordan in Greece, was the guest speaker at a lecture before the International Relations students of New York College. During the questions and answers session that followed, students under the supervision Mr. Leonidas Gontzes, Associate Dean and Head of the International Relations Department of New York College, had the opportunity to ask the Ambassador international relations-themed questions. 

Psychology Lecture at New York College: "Play Therapy: speaking to children in their own language"

On Tuesday 8th November, the Department of Psychology at New York College organized the first of the monthly Psychology Invited Speaker Series for the academic year 2016-17. Ms Nefeli Koskina, MA, Play Therapist (Canterbury Christchurch University, Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy, UK) and Counseling Psychologist (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) trained in Person-Centered Counselling (Strathclyde University, UK) gave a talk entitled "play therapy: speaking to children in their own language".

Visit of the Czech Republic ambassador at New York College

On November 7, 2016, His Excellency Mr. Jan Bondy Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Greece, was invited by New York College to deliver a lecture on his country. During the questions and answers session that followed, students had the opportunity to ask the Ambassador questions about the Czech Republic. The Ambassador’s visit was of particular significance in light of the presence of the University of New York in Prague (UNYP), member of the New York College Educational Group, in the Czech Republic.

Ambassador of Slovakia in Greece visits New York College

On October 31, 2016, Ambassador Peter Michalko of Slovakia in Greece, was the guest speaker at a lecture before the International Relations students of New York College. The lecture discussed Slovakia’s foreign affairs in the context of Slovakia holding the rotating European Union presidency this current term. During the questions and answers session that followed, students under the supervision Mr. Leonidas Gontzes, Associate Dean and Head of the International Relations Department of New York College, had the opportunity to ask the Ambassador international relations-themed questions.
