13 November 2015

On November 3, 2015, Minister Fernando Sandoval Flores, Deputy Head of Mission, of the Embassy of Mexico in Greece, was the guest speaker at a lecture before the International Relations students of New York College. The lecture discussed trade relations between Mexico and Greece as well as Mexico’s participation in the newly formed (2012) Pacific Alliance trade bloc consisting of four Latin American states. During the questions and answers session that followed, students under the supervision Mr. Leonidas Gontzes, Associate Dean and Head of the International Relations Department of New York College, had the opportunity to ask the Minister international relations-themed questions. A cultural event, dubbed “Mexican Night,” that included Mexican music with Mariachi singer Hugo Daniel Mellado, Pianist Rodrigo Ilizaliturri and Soprano Pamela Pereyra, theater, and food  took place following the lecture’s conclusion in which students and distinguished guests took part, among them New York College President Elias Foutsis, Minister Fernando Sandoval Flores of Mexico, and other dignitaries.
