Alexander is the Director of Maritime Studies at NYC. He is also a Member of the Athens Bar Association and has his own Private Practice specializing in Corporate/Commercial Law. He holds a LLB (Hons) from the University of Greenwich and a LLM from the London School of Economics. His innovative teaching techniques have helped students learn more than just the course material.

A bachelors degree (sometimes known as an 'ordinary' or 'first' degree) is a course of academic study leading to a qualification such as a bachelor of arts (BA), or bachelor of science (BSc).
Mr. Mantzios completed his basic studies in Greece at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the degree of Mathematics in the concentration of Pure Mathematics, having carried out part of his studies in the University of Seville in Spain. He was accepted and completed his master in London in the university of London School of Economics(LSE), with the title “MSc in Applicable Mathematics” and main fields of interest the Theory of Probability, Game Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Stochastic Processes and Financial Mathematics. After having completed his military service he worked as a scientific associate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From his first days of return from London and onwards, he has been working passionately in the Secondary Education and is currently a member of the teaching stuff of the private school College of Delasalle. At New York College he has taught the courses of Applicable Mathematics, College Algebra, Statistics and Quantitative Methods for students of Psychology and Management. His transmissibility and passion for Mathematics and his ability to communicate with audiences of non-experts are his cornerstones of his route to today.
Makis holds a BA in Economics from Athens Business School and an MBA from the University of Dedroit, Michigan, US. He has over 28 years of audit experience, especially in educating the middle and upper management staff of large multinationals on the group processes across the board. His project management experience is equally lengthy. He has participated in SAP software implementation projects in multinational corporations, such as Mobil Oil and BP plc worldwide. He has also led large scale projects to analyze benchmark, integrate, streamline and improve the processes of the oil marketing business through re-engineering and application of best practices. His teaching experience includes courses in business and project management for undergraduate, postgraduate and professional qualifications students.
Constantina completed all of her studies in USA obtaining a Bachelor’ s Degree in Communication and Master’s Degree in Business Communication at the Pittsburg State University. She received a full Graduate Scholarship at the age of 23, as a Teaching Assistant in Communication and Public Speaking. She also worked for an Advertising Agency as Account/Client Service Manager in San Francisco, California. She returned to Greece in 2001, and ever since she has developed her business career in the area of Corporate Training in different companies and in teaching MBA courses in the area of communication, marketing, sales, advertising and public relations. Her business experience comes from mostly managerial positions in training and development in companies like Starbucks, Dynamic Life (Health Clubs Franchising), New York College Educational Group and TEAM Consulting Services. She has also developed training material for traditional forms of learning like workshops and seminars, as well as e-learning platforms. Constantina became a member of Being ESSENTIAL & VISIBLE Team in 2015 in the areas of Corporate Training, Seminar Facilitation and Development. She is also a Ph.D. Candidate in Organizational Psychology with specialization in Leadership, while she has developed a long experience in the areas of Communication, Corporate Training and Development.
Dr. Georganta graduated from the Department of Psychology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2006 and continued post graduate studies in Business Administration with Specialization in Human Resource Management (MBA) at the University of Macedonia, from where she graduated in 2009 with honors. She received her PhD in the field of Work and Organizational Psychology from the University of Macedonia in 2017. She has worked as a researcher in several scientific projects related to organizational culture, burnout and psychosocial risks. At the same time, she has worked as the Editorial Manager in the Bulletin of the European Health Psychology Society and has been a reviewer for international journals. She is currently a Review Editor in the sector of Organizational Psychology in the Frontiers in Psychology and Communication journal. Dr Georganta was the president and member of the organizing and scientific committees of many academic conferences. Dr Georganta is a member of the Greek Psychological Society. Since 2011 she has taught courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Macedonia, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Technological Education Institute of Western Macedonia (Social Psychology, Psychology of Work, Positive Psychology, Leadership) and has organized training workshops on the issues of psychosocial risks and job stress. Her research has focused on positive experiences in the workplace. At New York College she has been teaching the course Leadership & Management with a focus on training and development.
Antonios holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Administrative Studies from Panteion University, an MBA from Kennedy University and a PhD in Microeconomics – Retail Commerce from Panteion University. Antonios is a well esteemed business and marketing professional, having held top managerial position in many companies. He is also an accomplished author and researcher, having published nine books and several articles. At New York College he has been teaching Management, Marketing and Sales related courses since 2009.
Harris holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Piraeus. His dissertation is on econometrics. This area of emphasis together with his specialization in applied statistics, the subject of his Master of Science degree, adds much to the courses he is currently teaching ‘Business Planning & Development’, ‘Statistics’ and ‘Quantitative Methods’. Harris is an active researcher and he has published a number of articles on a range of topics – from econometrics to international business markets in peer-reviewed journals. He also teaches at the University of Piraeus undergraduate and graduate courses.
Dr. Charalampidis studied Economics with specialization in Business Economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master’s in Business Administration with specialization in Financial Management and a Philosophy Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the University of Macedonia, both with distinction. In 2013, he accomplished his postdoctoral research titled “The role of cost and asset retrenchment in company turnaround: empirical evidence from listed firms in Greece” at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has taught Accounting and Finance related courses at both the under and postgraduate level at the aforementioned universities, the University of Sheffield (City College Thessaloniki), and the Hellenic Corps Officers Military Academy. His research has been presented at several national and international academic conferences and published in national and international peer-reviewed academic journals among which the International Journal of Managerial and Financial Accounting and the Journal of Financial Management and Analysis. Dr. Charalampidis has worked for international research programs as researcher and administrative coordinator and as accountant. He has been working for New York College as Accounting and Finance tutor since 2014 and holds the position of Director of Postgraduate Studies at Thessaloniki campus since 2017.
Gerasimos holds a PhD in Lean Operations and Continuous Improvement and an MBA in Operations Management from the University of Aegean. His first degree was in Economics from the University of Crete. He is currently working for the Aegean Airlines in the role of Continous Improvement Projects Coordinator. His previous working experience includes managerial position in the Swissport Greece Ground Handling Services; in the Lean Six Sigma; and the Business School of the University of the Aegean. He has been teaching project management related courses at New York College since 2016 and student reviews of his performance have been consistently excellent.
Dr. Gregoriadou, completed her Bachelor in Mathematics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She continued her studies and received an MSc in Theoretical Informatics and Systems & Control Theory. Completing the MSc studies, she proceeded her research and received her PhD in Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During her studies, she worked in subsidiary employment at the School of Mathematics, participated in several research programs and taught in secondary education schools. She is also a Certified Adult teacher from the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and she has been working in several structures of formal and non-formal adult education. In 2016 she had a Postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Mathematics and in 2017 she received an MSc in Information and Communication Technologies in Education. At New York College she has been teaching Discrete Mathematics I, College Algebra, Introduction to the practice of statistics, Macroeconomics and Research Methods in English and Probabilities Theory, Statistics, and Applied Mathematics I taught in Greek.
Akis specializes in Business Statistics and International Economics. He holds a PhD from The City University of New York (Graduate School) as well as a Masters of Arts in International Relations. He has been at NYC since 1995 and is a much appreciated faculty member. Students enjoy his approach to teaching that includes current examples, especially those related to the economic crisis in Greece, linked with economic theory and presented in an understandable manner. He is the recipient of the Teacher Excellence Award five times, thus proving his excellent teaching skills.
Stella has earned a PhD in Organization Studies by the MIT Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, MA, U.S.; a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations with Concentration in Organizational Behavior by Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, U.S.; and a Bachelor in Communication and Mass Media by the University of Athens, Greece. Her professional experience includes management posts in companies and education establishments in the U.S., such as Learn Launch, and the MIT-Singapore University of Technology and Design. She has founded the Greek Entrepreneurs and Innovators in Education, an on-line start up focusing on topics on topics of entrepreneurship in education targeted to the Greek audience. Dr. Kounelaki is highly appreciated by students for her innovative teaching approach informed by the educational ethic of one of the most famous universities in the world, the MIT.
Vassilis holds a Bachelor degree in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Piraeus, a Master degree in Economics from New York University, and a PhD in Environmental Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a research associate and participates in the organization of international academic conferences with Athens Institute for Education & Research (ATINER). Vassilis has been involved in various research (EU FP7 and H2020) and consulting projects.
Elefantia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Science from the University of Athens, Greece, a Diploma (at postgraduate level) in Business Administration from the University of Bradford, UK and an MBA from the University of Greenwich. She has worked in top managerial positions both in the UK and in Greece and has several years of teaching experience. Elefantia is the Director of Operations at New Work College and a member of our Faculty since 2006.
George completed his studies in the USA and holds a BS in Engineering from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), an MBA from Adelphi University, and a MSc from University of Louisville. He is a Candidate for Doctorate in Business Administration from International School of Management (ISM) Paris, France and his Dissertation examines issues in Operations and Value Chain Management. He also attended Business seminars as a Visiting Scholar in Paris, Sanghai, and Tokyo. George has been teaching at SUNY Empire State College, Greece since 2004, the University of Greenwich since 2012 as well as graduate level (Greenwich, IUKB, ESG). He was also a visiting Professor in the University of Bretagne, Brest in France teaching International Operations and Supply Chain Management (Graduate Level). George’s lecturing methods and the ability to support students to reach their full potential makes him a valuable member of the NYC family.
Kelley holds a Bachelor degree in Social Science from Richmond: the American International University in London and a Masters degree in Sociology from the London School of Economics. She has been teaching at New York College since 1994 and has won the Teacher Excellence Award six times. Her experience of both American and British educational systems as well as her sociological training enables her to advise and assist students throughout their studies.
D. Gatidis completed successfully his undergraduate studies obtaining his Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Law at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Subsequently, he completed his postgraduate studies in France and he received his master’s degree (Diplôme d’ Études Approfondies – DEA) in International Commercial and Economic Law by the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Burgundy University (Dijon). He is a chartered barrister accorded to the Bar Association of Thessaloniki. He worked for several years as an associate in law firms specialised in corporate and civil law. He was a scientific consultant at the Center of International and European Economic Law (CIEEL) in the departments of Energy Law and State Aids Law. He prepared multiple legal consultation reports for public entities such as special services of the Greek Ministry of Development concerning the implementation of state aid frameworks or programs within the scope of European competition law. Additionally, he wrote several legal consultation reports for foreign legal firms regarding matters of the appliance of Greek legislation in civil, commercial and financial issues as well as the competence of the national law. He was a key note speaker in conferences and seminars related to European competition law. Furthermore, he published articles in law journals concerning human rights law and European state aid law issues. At New York College he has been teaching the courses LAW I (Initiation to Law) and LAW II (Commercial Law). Dimitris receives remarkably positive evaluations by his students for his superb support and guidance he provides them with.
Nikolaos (Nikos) Malliaros (BSc, MSC, MA) is an economist with postgraduate studies (Master of Science) in Agricultural Economics, International Trade, and European Union at Wye (Imperial) College/University of London and in Politics and Economics in Eastern Europe (Master of Arts) at the University of Macedonia. Furthermore he has studied and worked on International Business, Services Marketing, and Tourism. For fifteen years he was a College Director of Studies responsible for the application of British University curricula in Greece. He also was Deputy Director of an Institute of Vocational Studies (IEK) for three years. He has twenty five years of experience of teaching in higher education at both graduate and post-graduate levels. Furthermore, he has particular experience in the formation, execution, and assessment of vocational training programmes and in European research projects in the field of education.
Babis Michailidis is a Production Management Engineer. He studied, lived and worked in Great Britain for 7 years. He holds a Master's Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management, from Aston University in Birmingham and Surrey University in Great Britain respectively. He has 35 years of experience, working as a Senior Executive in large Enterprises and Organizations in Athens and Thessaloniki. At the same time, he has 25 years experience in teaching Strategic Management topics. He organizes lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences for many Organizations and Enterprises in Greece and abroad. He is the Academic Director of New York College in Thessaloniki campus.
Mrs. Papategou after graduated from the Law School at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she continued her postgraduate studies at King's University of London in "Copyright & Related Rights in UK, European and US Law". Following her studies, she worked as a legal advisor to Eurobank and as a lawyer specialized in industrial and intellectual property law. She has attended conferences on industrial and intellectual property issues in Greece and abroad and has given speeches on these issues to corporations and educational institutions. She has taught legal courses at Tertiary Education Institutions in Thessaloniki. At New York College she has been teaching the courses "Labor Law" and "Social and Business Law".
Mrs. Siamaga completed all of her studies in the USA obtaining a Bachelor’ s Degree in Political Science from New York University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Human Resource Management, from Adelphi University. While studying in the US, she worked for a shipping company at the Outport Relations Department in Miami, FL. She returned to Greece in 2001, and ever since she has advanced her career in the area of the management of people in different companies. She joined the New York College academic team in 2013. She has been teaching the HR courses both in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Her business experience comes from mostly managerial positions in HR Departments in companies such as Alumil, Amasa, Cosmos Consulting and Agrocom among others, as well as a freelancer / consultant. She has also developed training material for workshops and seminars. Maria is a certified trainer. She is also a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Macedonia in Political Science and Sociology, researching the Local Social Movements. while she has developed a long experience specifically in the areas of Training and Development, Recruitment, Performance Evaluation and HR Crisis Management.
Nikos’ work experience is primarily in senior management positions in high-profile companies in Greece and Cyprus. He is currently the CEO of TAXIPLON, S.A., responsible for the strategic planning and implementation, budget planning and internal control and MIS implementation and trade policy planning of the company. Before that, he worked as Director and Shareholder of EPOCA Holdings, Ltd, and he is still a member of the Board of Directors of Label Pack, S.A. Other posts include the position of Managing Director at Domino’s Pizza International Plc; Managing Director of Prime Banking Services S.A.; Marketing and Sales Director at Avery Hellas S.A.; and Managing Director at MANN International Ltd -Realtors - Valuers – Consultants. He’s a graduate of the University of Westminster, UK with an MA in International Business and Management, and a BSc in Business Administration, American College of Greece. Nikos’ exceptional career and rich network in the local and regional business environment is an asset for the MBA students as he brings real life business experience in the classroom.
Penny has been teaching at NYC since 1999 specializing in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour. Through her professional experience as an HR Manager, she is able to pass on to students actual examples from working in both the US and Greece. With a Bachelor degree in International Business and an MBA from Loyola University, Chicago, US., she has a wealth of knowledge related to business subjects. Penny also frequently invites professionals from HRM and NYC Alumni to speak in her classes. Students greatly enjoy her lively teaching style, enthusiasm for course material and approachable manner. Penny has received the Teaching Excellence Award five times.
Stefanos holds a Bachelor’s in Economics for the Economic University of Athens and a Master’s in Regional Development for Panteion University. He is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece and of SED. He is a well known financial consultant, has published four books and is a standard columnist in various finance related journals. He has been teaching Accounting and Finance related courses at New York College since 2002.
