Master in Software Engineering
The MSc in Software Engineering offers you the opportunity to study the latest methodologies and development techniques and deepen your understanding of Dev Ops. The programme has been designed collaboratively with industrial partners, giving you the chance to equip yourself with professional skills, and stimulate creative thinking and enhance problem solving and decision-making techniques. You’ll also be encouraged to prepare for your postgraduate career with coursework designed to help you develop sophisticated intellectual capabilities in research, critique, synthesis, and innovation, and enhance essential skills such as group working and report writing.

The full-time programme is of 12 months (plus 6 months for thesis writing) and the part-time course is 24 months (plus 6 months for thesis writing). The modules are offered mainly on Friday afternoons and Saturdays so as not to hinder the students' work schedule.
Graduates will be employed in a variety of roles ranging from software project management to software development and have very successful careers working for software consultancy companies, specialised software development businesses and the IT departments of large institutions (financial, telecommunications and public sector). Many of these jobs require a knowledge of particular application or development environments. What binds them together are the requirements of carrying out these tasks in a software engineering context.
