Dr. Dimitris Andreou: Ph.D and Master’s in Information Systems, Drexel University Pennsylvania, and MBA San Jose State University, California. His work experience includes teaching at Drexel University, as well as the positions of Director of Business Development and Internal Audit, at the Agricultural Bank of Greece Group; IT Manager at Deloitte & Touche; Senior Technology Consultant and Senior Application Engineer at companies of the “silicon valley”, California.

The Department is divided in three Sections:


 
 Mission:
The mission of the Department of Business at New York College is to offer high quality and challenging undergraduate and graduate business administration education, in cooperation with accredited Universities in the U.S.A. and Europe, aiming at equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for making a significant contribution to the new globalized business environment. The Department’s breadth of curricula, diversity of student body, scholarly activities of the faculty, as well as its contacts with the business world, have secured for it a reputation for excellence, while, with 271 students in Fall 2006, it remains the largest department of New York College.
 
 Objectives:
The Department of Business focuses on the following objectives:
  • Excellence in teaching with the employment of faculty members who combine the academic and industry background.
  • Emphasis on the development of students’ skills in order to enhance employability.
  • Continuous improvement and development of curricula in response to the highly dynamic business environment, and with a distinctive foundation in liberal arts a focus on raising students’ awareness on ethical, moral, environmental, and corporate responsibility issues of the modern organization
  • Research activities which will link the Department with the industry in a meaningful way for students and faculty.
  • Offering life-long training opportunities for graduates and working professionals in businesses and other organizations.
